Customers use calcium-based reagents every day in applications that are improving the quality of the air, soil, and water. We are serving markets like soil stabilization, environmental remediation, water treatment, coal treatment, treatment of biosolids, and CO2 reduction.

Lime Kiln Dust (LKD)

The thermal decomposition process that creates quicklime drives off this by-product. Dust collection systems inside high-temperature rotary kilns gather Lime Kiln Dust (LKD). LKD contains not only calcium oxide and magnesium oxide, but also pozzolans such as aluminates and silicates. Quicklime does not contain these pozzolans. Due to its chemistry, LKD is a versatile and economical chemical for soil stabilization, drying and modification. Being a by-product provides high quality/low cost advantages. Numerous studies and field trials demonstrate that LKD can provide excellent in-situ moisture reductions. It also reduces Atterberg limits. Since LKD contains both calcium and magnesium oxides and pozzolans, it provides long-term soil strength gain. LKD is an effective chemical for other applications like environmental projects, waste treatment, and other industrial applications.

Cement Kiln Dust (CKD)

Cement Kiln Dust is a by-product generated during cement production. The initial raw materials that went into the production process determine the precise makeup. This makeup varies from site to site. Depending on the CKD’s reactivity,  it can be a high-quality chemical used in a wide variety of applications including soil stabilization, environmental projects, and waste treatment.

Fly Ash

Pulverized coal undergoes combustion to create electricity at coal fired power plants, and one of the byproducts in the process is Fly Ash. It is a powdery substance with a spherical, granular shape that is similar to the makeup of cement. Fly Ash is known as an SCM, or supplementary cementitious material. It possesses many properties that make it an attractive additive to cement in concrete.  Fly Ash, when combined with other high-quality by-products, can be a very effective soil stabilization chemical.

We work with customers to create unique material blends for unique project demands. This provides cost-effective and value added solutions. Contact Us today to discuss your project and let’s find out what blend is right for you.

OmniMax is a proprietary calcium-based reagent

OmniMaxTM Omni engineering professionals create this lime based proprietary blend in house. Field trials with OmniMaxTM show promise, because it has an ability to chemically dry saturated soil and increase the soil’s unconfined compressive strength. We are excited to share the results.
